We contacted the English Center with a unique communication challenge
that we had a hard time identifying internally. The English Center
came in and performed a comprehensive writing and verbal analysis
of our staff and identified where we would best benefit from their
training.
Lynne and Stephen assembled a custom curriculum to meet our specific
needs.
The classes consisted of 16 sessions that immersed our staff in the
proper learning environment—an interactive classroom in which they
could feel comfortable and freely ask questions.
The result was outstanding. We plan on having the English Center
teach more classes for Thoratec.

Our partnership with the English Center has helped us provide
more business services to the San Francisco Bay Area business
community. Employers we serve have found Effective Communication
in the Workplace to greatly improve employee productivity,
resulting in greater retention. The Alameda One-Stop and the
Alameda Workforce Investment Board will continue to offer this
invaluable training package to our clients.
