All international students with F-1 visa status are required to have injury and sickness insurance during their studies at the English Center. The English Center offers StudentSecure insurance plan from International Student Insurance. The monthly rate varies by age and the level of coverage chosen.
covers upto a maximum of $200,000 and has a deductible of $100 per injury or illness. Then it will pay 80% of the next $25,000 of eligible expenses after the deductible, and then 100% of expenses up to $200,000. It is available only to individuals and does not include coverage for pregnancy.
covers upto a maximum of $250,000 and has a deductible of $100 per injury or illness. Then it will pay 80% of the next $10,000 of eligible expenses after the deductible, and then 100% of expenses up to $250,000. It is available to individuals and dependents (spouse or chil under 19 years of age). It includes coverage for pregnancy.
covers upto a maximum of $300,000 and has a deductible of $100 per injury or illness. Then it will pay 80% of the next $5,000 of eligible expenses after the deductible, and then 100% of expenses up to $300,000. It is available to individuals and dependents (spouse or chil under 19 years of age). It includes coverage for pregnancy.
The English Center recommends the Budget or Select Plan because they offer substantially better coverage for dental treatment, for medical evacuation, and for repatriation of remains.

If you perfer to use your own insurance coverage instead of the English Center's coverage: You must be able to certify to the English Center than your insurance is vaild in the United States and covers at least $200,000 USD per illness or injury.
You will be required to present proof of health insurance coverage at the time of registration at the English Center.
